Prisons taking tobacco orders ahead of legal smoking
JACKSON, Miss. (AP) — Officials at some Mississippi prisons say they are being inundated with orders for tobacco products as the state prepares to once again allow inmates to smoke.

Good Afternoon,
First thank you so much to those of you that made it out to the Atlanta City Council work session to discuss smoke-free Atlanta on Wednesday. It was a great showing of support and with an overflow crowd that forced moving the session from the committee room to the council chambers! There is a ton of positive conversation continuing today and all of you are a part of it!
That being said, there was so much information put before the committees that they have requested additional time on top of the Memorial Day holiday to bring their colleagues up to speed on the discussion.
Please Note: Right now, the Council has pushed back the future schedule of meetings – including the Public Safety Committee meeting, the Transportation Committee and the final vote. When I get those dates, I will send them to you immediately, so you can save the dates.
Thank you again for everything that you continue to do to protect everyone’s right to breathe clean smoke-free air and I will get you the latest information as soon as we get it.
